Goldwell run a competition for all upcoming hair dressers in being able to style some crazy yet functional hair and specifically looking at the color and coloring technique used to tint the hair.

I was approached by a hair dresser in Annandale and was explained the compeition and that she would love to enter and love for me to take the image for her.  The only trick, no photo manipulation / photoshopping allowed to enhance or color the subject.  This meant we needed to get it right on the shoot and do only clean up in post.

I absolutely loved the hair and the experience in working with Thais and wish her all the best in the hair competition.  I enjoyed working with her so much that i have her on board for all my hair stylist needs 🙂 great addition to the team.

Of course i couldnt resist doing my own image too of such a perfect model and hair i wanted to treat it differently and did a black and white styled image across it to really show the detail in the hair and light in the subjects face.
