I thought i would spread some news surrounding the issues i have had with clickimaging.in and purchasing elinchrom softboxes / octaboxes through them.
I was warned prior to placing the order with clickimaging.in from another photographer on this forum, and someone who has purchased through them that their responses are very late and unhelpful, however i still went through with the order.
The below is the export from the emails between clickimaging.in (aman) and myself. I have removed all personal details however the messages are in tact. This email picks up after the order was placed.
The long story shorterned is:
1: i enquired about getting 2 octaboxes through clickimaging.in
2: i paid additional to the quote for the 2 softboxes to have hopefully expeditited delivery after being offered a discount from aman
3: i received no tracking information for weeks nor communication
4: the tracking info was initially wrong, then i was wrong by entering in the wrong number
5: the parcel arrived 2 weeks later than expected
6: the parcel had only 1 softbox in it and when sent with photo evidence
7: i raised the complaint with aman
8: i raised the complaint with australia post who said they cant do anthing about it
9: aman raised the complain with indian post
10: the complaint was dealt with at indian post
11: aman didnt ship me a missing softbox as previously discussed nor refunded money
12: aman gave me a list of why he now wasnt going to do this
13: aman now will not reply to my emails.

I haven’t received any feedback from this email.
I am offering to pay the delivery of the lost softbox again however not willing to pay 2x for the softbox which I did not receive which I have no control over.

Yes I got all your emails. I have think about it Sir. What I have concluded is that it will not be feasible for me to send another softbox. There are certain reasons I want you to please consider:
•First, you have paid for two softboxes, I had sent you two softboxes. Comment: I have no proof of that so I disagree
•It was securely pack from our side. Comment: the 1 softbox I Received was packed securely.
•We have the tracking reciept which shows the weight of the item, in case you think we did not send the two items. Comment: please send this through to me I don’t have a copy of this
•It was messed by Postal service in your country. Because once accepted, parcel is not opened by our country’s PO, but in case a parcel is opened here in Our country by PO, they send it back because they do not pack it again on their own. Comments: ok
•You have admitted that it is fault by your PO system. Comments: no I’m not, I’m suggesting it’s a possibility this still doesn’t hold me accountable. It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure a package is received.
•I agree that you need what you have paid for. But see, I will have to send you a octa, which costs 175USD to us plus around 45 USD shipping. Total is $220. Comments: I appreciate this costs you money, bowser currently 1 softbox has cost me $450 USD!
•We are ready to ship you another softbox, if you are ready to part with this cost. Or, we can offer you a discount of the same price for your future purchases over 800 USD. This purchase can be from any of your friend too. We will include the missing softbox.
Comments: I don’t understand what you mean, you are ready to ship another softbox if I’m ready to part with the cost. I will pay for the delivery of $45usd for the softbox that makes it easier.

So far I have had a package turn up weeks late, with the whole order not fulfilled (I appreciate that this may not be entirely your fault) and now asking for the replacement is proving to be even harder. If you are able to refund the cost of the 2nd softbox or send the softbox (I still want it) that would be appreciated.
So far, I have paid for much more than what I have received without any indication I am going to get either my money or the product I have paid for in return.
